3D Text

This tutorial will show you how to make your text 3D in Illustrator.

Step 1

Click on the text tool or press T on your keyboard and add your text. Now switch to the selection tool . Go to Type > Create Outlines and anchor points should be created around the letters.

Step 2

Go to Effect > 3D > Extrude and Bevel. You can play around with the settings by tilting and moving the cube, or you can use my settings.

Step 3

To save as a transparent .png, go to File > Save for Web and Devices. In the options choose PNG-24 and make sure the Transparent box is checked and press Save. Here's what mine looks like:
