Colorizing
This tutorial will show you how to make your graphics a different color.
Colorizing a Whole Image
For this tutorial I'm going to change a zebra background from blue to pink. Open up the image you want to colorize and press Shift+L or go to Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Colorize. Change the hue until you get the color you want. The saturation is how much gray you want in the color. Keep it at 255 for bright colors, or lower it to make it more dull. If you change the saturation to 0 it'll be gray, no matter what the hue is. Here's what my settings looked like:

Find the Change To Target tool
in your toolbar. if it's not showing, press L and the lighten/darken tool will be highlighted. Click on the arrow next to it to get to the Change To Target brush. Change the brush size depending on how big your image is, and make the hardness 0. Choose a color from your materials palette. I chose purple since I'm going to make part of the blue background purple. Draw over your image with the brush, and it should change color, like this:
