Multicolor Text
This tutorial will show you how to make text with different colored letters in PSP. It's a lot easier than adding each letter seperately and putting them together.
Step 1
Open a new image in PSP. Click on the text tool
or press T on your keyboard. Your text settings can be set to Vector, Floating, or Selection - it doesn't matter. The stroke width also doesn't matter, but you can set it to 1.0 if you want a thin outline around your text.

Step 2
Click anywhere on your image to add the text. In the text box, highlight the letter that you want to change. Choose a different background color from the Materials palette and, if you have a stroke around the text, change the foreground color as well. You can also change the font, size, stroke width, etc.

Step 3
When you're done with all the letters, you can add whatever effects you want and save. This is how mine came out, with different colors for each letter and a few different sizes:
