Reflection

This tutorial will show you how to make text that looks like it's being reflected upside down. It looks best with white against a black background, but you can try it with other colors as well :P

Step 1

Open a new image in PSP with a black background. Click on the text tool or press T on your keyboard. Make a new layer (Layers > New Raster Layer). Make sure your color is set to white, and add your text near the top of the image.

Step 2

Press Ctrl+C to copy the layer and Ctrl+L to paste it as a new layer. Go to Image > Flip to flip it upside down.

Step 3

Click on the selection tool . Use these settings:

You might want to use a larger feather amount if you're using a bigger font size.

Step 4

Draw a rectangle over the lower part of the text you just flipped. Press Delete, and the bottom part should be deleted. If you delete too much, undo and try making a smaller rectangle.

Step 5

Press F8 or go to View > Palettes > Layers and lower the opacity of the text. I changed mine to 50.

Step 6

Merge all the layers (Layers > Merge > Merge All) and you should get something like this:
